A brand new double album released all over India October 2001 for the Divali season by the Times of India (Times Music). This magnificent CD portrays the power of the story of the Ramayana in big group kirtan chants, devotional bhajans and meditative solo vocal chants (chopais) based on the Tulsi Das Ramayana text. Two years in the making, this CD was recorded in high definition 24 bit digital sound in the UK at Heaven on Earth Music Recording Studios, with additional recording sessions in Mumbai, India. Features the superb voices of Shashi Pandit, Pundit Vishwa Prakash and Dinesh K. Mahavir, and fine guest instrumental performances by Ronu Majumdar (bansuri), Bhavani Shankar (pakawaj/tabla), Zarin Sharma (sarod), Ulhas Bhapat (santoor), Deepal Pandit (vioilin), Madhukar Dhumal (shenhai), Umashankar Shukla (sitar), plus India's finest chorus singers.
